The  Deutsche Schule Seoul International (DSSI) was founded in 1976 and is the only Deutsche Auslandsschule in Korea.

The DSSI offers to students aged 2-6 the possibility of visiting the Kindergarten at the end of which they can enroll in Elementary classes. Students receive, after completing 9th grade, the “Certificate of Secondary Education” (“Hauptschulabschluss”) and after completing 10th grade the “Certificate of Higher Secondary Education” (“Realschulabschluss”). After 12 years,  students gain access to the Deutschen Internationalen Abiturprüfung (DIAP).

At the moment, the school enrolls about 170 students taught by approximately 30 teachers.

The school was awarded the titles of “Exzellente Deutsche Auslandsschule” and “MINT freundliche Schule” due to its rich curriculum with a focus on science (mathematics, IT, science, engineering).
