In a project in Johannesburg students write poems on environmental issues onto plastic bags.
“Stop Plastic Bags!
The future on the earth is polluted, nature is destroyed, the oil supplies are running out.
And all of this because of a few plastic bags.
But you can still save humanity and protect nature. “
The tour of the school takes over an hour and I am overwhelmed by the facilities: library with computer lab, swimming pool, basket ball fields, tennis courts. But, as I learn, this is the standard to compete with the other private schools in Johannesburg…
My first day at the German International School in Johannesburg (DSJ).
I am greeted at the entrance by a huge board with the picture of the
German School prize the DSJ won last year!
